What a beautiful day for pitching!
Just returning home from the World Tournament. , we were looking forward to a bit of “down-home” pitching. We were glad to welcome the 26 pitchers that attended, along with two visitors from Arizona.
Alex and Barbara Carson were on a vacation trip after the World Tournament, making stops along the way before heading home, and decided that Virginia would be on their way, and made it to Stuarts Draft.
Four classes were held, with both Alex and Barbara in B Class. Alex came in 3rd place, taking home one of plaques as a memento.
Newcomer Anthony Morris took 1st place in C Class, winning over Herman McCarthy by a narrow margin... both were beaming coming off the courts. “Good games”.
Michaeal Toye took 1st place in D class, with a shut-out 4-0. Given his final stat of 32%, it’s pretty sure he won’t be in THAT class again.
And in A Class, Clinton Parker took 1st place, his only loss of the day given to him by (2nd place) Richard Owens in a tight match.
Good day of pitching was had by all.
